My Hero Academia: Two Heroes English Dub Trailer Streamed

Funimation recently updated their official Youtube channel with an English Dub clip for the My Hero Academia Two Heroes film. As reported earlier, Funimation and TOHO hosted the worldwide debut of the film at Anime Expo ppm July 5 and the film later premiered in Japan on August 3. Toho has recently updated their official Youtube channel with a new promotional video for My Hero Academia: Two Heroes. The new promotional video features the film’s theme song titled, “Long Hope Philia,” which is performed by Masaki Suda and composed/ written by Hiromu Akita (amazarashi). Detective Pikachu Live-Action Film Moves to Warner Brothers

Several news outlets have reported that the live-action film adaptation for the Detective Pikachu spin-off video game is moving to Warner Brothers for distribution outside of Japan and China. Toho will continue to distribute the film in Japan. New Cast Member for My Hero Academia: Two Heroes Film & Spin-off Manga Revealed

The recent issue of the Shonen Jump magazine has revealed a new cast member for the the My Hero Academia: Two Heroes film. My Hero Academia Film Visual Revealed

Over the weekend, the official My Hero Academia film website updated with a new visual for the film. The latest features a look at Melissa and Devitt, who are two new characters that will make a debut appearance in the film. Mirai Shida will be voicing Melissa, who is a “quirkless girl,” and meets Deku on I Island. Her friend’s father, Devitt, will be voiced by Katushisa Namase. Devitt is a scientist who specializes in creating support items for heroes and was a friend of All Might when they were younger. Melissa tries her best to follow in Devitt’s footsteps. Deadline has reported that Omar Chaparro has jointed the cast of the live-action Detective Pikachu film, however currently his role has not been confirmed at this time. Ken Watanabe Joins Detective Pikachu Live-Action Film Cast

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Ken Watanabe is joining the cast of the live-action Detective Pikachu film. For those who are unaware, Ken Watanabe, has starred in various films such as The Last Samurai, Ashita no Kioku/Memories of Tomorrow, and as Dr. Serizawa in the recent Godzilla film by Legendary Pictures.  Ken Watanabe will be playing a new character that be featured in the film named Detective Yoshida.  Detective Pikachu will premiere on May 10, 2019.

Deadline has reported the premiere details for the upcoming Detective Pikachu film. For those who haven’t been following the film, Detective Pikachu is a live-action adaptation of the Pokémon spin-off game of the same name.  As reported earlier, Detective Pikachu will star Ryan Reynolds as the titular character and he will play alongside Justice Smith and Kathyrn Newton.  Detective Pikachu will premiere on May 10, 2019.

Kathryn Newton Cast in Live-Action Detective Pikachu Film

Variety has reported that Kathryn Newton is joining the cast of Legendary’s live-action Detective Pikachu film as the head female lead.  Kathryn will be co-star alongside the main lead male character, which will be portrayed by Justice Smith. As reported earlier the film will be directed by Rob Letterman and the script will be written by Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch.  The live-action Detective Pikachu film will be distributed by Universal Pictures outside of Japan while the film will distributed by Toho in Japan.
