Detective Pikachu Film Premiere Date Announced

Deadline has reported the premiere details for the upcoming Detective Pikachu film. For those who haven’t been following the film, Detective Pikachu is a live-action adaptation of the Pokémon spin-off game of the same name.  As reported earlier, Detective Pikachu will star Ryan Reynolds as the titular character and he will play alongside Justice Smith and Kathyrn Newton.  Detective Pikachu will premiere on May 10, 2019.    


Kathryn Newton Cast in Live-Action Detective Pikachu Film

Variety has reported that Kathryn Newton is joining the cast of Legendary’s live-action Detective Pikachu film as the head female lead.  Kathryn will be co-star alongside the main lead male character, which will be portrayed by Justice Smith. As reported earlier the film will be directed by Rob Letterman and the script will be written by Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch.  The live-action Detective Pikachu film will be distributed by Universal Pictures outside of Japan while the film will distributed by Toho in Japan. Currently no other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.

The official Pokémon Youtube channel has updated with a new trailer for Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon. The latest trailer features a look at the new move tutors and previews a sneak peak at Necrozma’s abilities. Pokémon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on November 17.

More Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! Screenings Announced
