Recently it has been announced that Darth Maul will be getting a new Marvel miniseries. The series will be written by Cullen Bunn and Luke Ross and will run for five issues and will debut next February. The character first debut in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and appeared in The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. The series will feature Darth Maul being trained by Darth Sidious. Variety has recently reported that Turner has recently acquired the exclusive TV rights for all 10 Star Wars films (including the currently unreleased films) and a separate deal with 20th Century Fox for the original 1977 Star Wars film. Under this deal the first six films will start airing on TNT on Sept. 20. The films will later be in a marathon on September 24-25. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will premiere on Turner in early 2018 and it will be followed up by Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will premiere in 2019.
