Paramount Moves Sonic the Hedgehog Film’s Premiere Date

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Paramount Pictures has recently announced that the Sonic the Hedgehog film’s premiere date has been moved up one week. The film originally was set to premiere on November 15, 2019, however the film will now premiere in theaters on November 8, 2019. Sega America has updated their official Youtube channel with a combat trailer for the Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise video game. For those who aren’t aware the game is an action-adventure video game based on the Fist of the North Star franchise created by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara. Sonic Mania Plus – Official Trailer Streamed

The official Sonic the Hedgehog Youtube channel has updated with a trailer for Sonic Mania Plus. For those who are unaware, Sonic Mania Plus is an updated version to the Sonic Mania video game. The new version of the game will include the brand new Encore mode along with other various extra content including two new playable characters, Mighty and Ray. Physical copies of Sonic Mania Plus will be available for the Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One on July 17.  Players who already own the standard Sonic Mania will be able to purchase the Encore DLC pack for $4.99.

Shining Resonance Refrain Announcement Trailer Streamed

The official Playstation Youtube channel has updated with an announcement trailer for the Western release of Shining Resonance Refrain.  For those who who not familiar about the series, the game is apart of Sega’s long running Shining game series. The game is also a remaster of the Shining Resonance game that was released only in Japan for the Playstation 3 in 2014. Shining Resonance Refrain will be released for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam in Summer 2018.

TGA 2017: Bayonetta 3 Official Teaser Trailer Streamed

Nintendo has posted a Bayonetta 3 teaser trailer on their official Youtube channel.  The game was first unveiled at The Game Awards 2017.  The game is currently in development and will be set as a Nintendo Switch exclusive. No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for details.  


IDW Sonic the Hedgehog Comic Series Release Date Announced

Within the mix of the NYCC 2017 news, IDW Publishing announced the the release details for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog comic series. For those who are unaware the original main Sonic the Hedgehog comics series that was published Archie Comics finished it’s run on July 19 this year.  The series ran from November 22, 1992 – July 19, 2017 so it did have a long run. The new comics will be published by IDW Publishing and the first issue is set to release in April 2018, with the return of long time comic writer, Ian Flynn, as the head writer.Read More


Paramount to Produce Sonic the Hedgehog Film

The Hollywood Reporter has recently reported that the Sonic the Hedgehog film will now be produced by Paramount Pictures.  The live-action CGI hybrid film was originally going to be produced by Sony Entertainment, however the film has now changed studios. The main production team who was previously working on the project at Sony Entertainment will continue to work on their duties at Paramount Pictures. Currently no other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.
