Gundam Thunderbolt Gaiden Manga to Resume

It has recently been announced that Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt Gaiden manga will resume on February 8. The manga was delayed since last May due to manga creator, Yasuo Ohtagaki, suffering from tenosynovitis. For those who are not are aware, the manga is a collection of short stories featuring the various mobile suits that are showcased in the Thunderbolt Mechanics magazine. The manga launched on the eBigComic4 website in December 2015 and the second compiled manga was published by Shogakukan in April 2017. ‘Saint Seiya Origin’ Manga Gets New Series

The recent issue of the Champion RED magazine has reveled that the Saint Seiya Origin manga series will be receiving a new series that will take place during the main manga’s “Poseidon Arc.” For those who are not aware Saint Seiya Origin is the “second season mini-series” of Masami Kuramada’s Saint Seiya: Episode Zero manga. The Saint Seiya Episode Zero manga debuted in the Champion RED magazine as a short series in December 2017. The series ended it’s initial run in February 2018. Kodansha Comics has recently revealed details for the upcoming The Ghost in the Shell: Global Neural Network Anthology comics. For those who are unaware, the comics feature the joint collaboration between Shirow Masamune, creator of the Ghost in the Shell franchise, and various Western comic creators. The anthology will feature fully colored stories based on several Ghost in the Shell characters. Zoids Wild Project Announced

Takara Tomy recently held a press conference where they revealed that a new Zoids project is the works. The project will be known as Zoids Wild. Under this project several products and productions will be made including a new anime series, new model kits, a video game for the Nintendo Switch, and more. The anime series is currently in production and is currently set for a Summer 2018 release and a manga series will also be released in the Corocoro magazine. The recent issue of the Tokuma Shoten’s Monthly Comic Zenon magazine that the Fist of the Blue Sky Regenesis anime series. A spin-off manga based on the Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise was recently announced. The spin-off manga titled, “Another Vanguard: Seido no Asuka,” will launch in the January issue of the Monthly Bushiroad magazine, which will be released on Friday. The manga continues the events that was featured in the Cardfight!! Vanguard SS (Shooting Star) manga, which was featured in the Monthly Bushiroad magazine earlier this year. Recently a new prequel manga for Gundam Unicorn launched in the December issue of the Monthly Gundam Ace magazine. The manga is titled, “Mobile Suit Gundam UC Bande Dessinée Episode: 0,” and is written by Kouzo Oomari. Mobile Suit Gundam UC Bande Dessinée Episode: 0 takes reference from “The Postwar War” (Sengo no Senso) short story that was featured in the 11th volume of the original Mobile Suit Gundam UC novels. Kodansha has recently confirmed that they will be publishing the Mazinger Z spin-off one-shot manga, Mazinger Z Alter Ignition. The single volume will be released on December 20. Mazinger Z Alter Ignition was written by Yu Kinutani and was originally launched on the Dynamic Planning’s official website on May 19.
