James Wan-Produced ‘Mortal Kombat’ Movie Greenlit

Variety has reported that the new live-action film based on the Mortal Kombat game franchise is set to begin pre-production this month in Australia. James Wan will be producing the film at New Line Cinema. The news was confirmed by Steven Marshall, premier of South Australia. Viz Media recently announced on their official twitter page that they have licensed the Persona 5 manga. For those who are not aware the manga series was released in Japan on September 22, 2016.
