Omar Chaparro Joins Live Action Detective Pikachu Film Cast

Deadline has reported that Omar Chaparro has jointed the cast of the live-action Detective Pikachu film, however currently his role has not been confirmed at this time. The confirmed cast include: Justice Smith Kathryn Newton Ken Watanabe: Detective Yoshida Ryan Reynolds: Detective Pikachu Bill Nighy Chris Geere Rita Ora Omar Chaparro Detective Pikachu will premiere on May 10, 2019.  


“Episode Zeraora” Side Story Manga Announced

The recent issue of the Coro Coro magazine has announced that a side story manga series based on the Pokemon the Movie: Everyone’s Story (Gekijōban Pocket Monster: Minna no Monogatari) film will be soon be published in the magazine.  The manga will launch in the next issue that will be released in May. The manga will be titled, “Pokémon the Movie: Everyone’s Story Side Story -Episode Zeraora- (Gekijōban Pocket Monster: Minna no Monogatari Gaiden -Episode Zeraora-), and will be illustrated by Kemon Kawamoto. Pokemon the Movie: Everyone’s Story will premiere in Japanese theaters on July 13.  


Pokémon: Everyone’s Story Extended Trailer Streamed

The official Japanese Pokémon Youtube channel with a new trailer for Pokémon: Everyone’s Story. For those who are unaware, Pokémon: Everyone’s Story is the next upcoming Pokémon film and is the 21st film for the franchise overall. The latest trailer features another look at the film’s story and characters. The trailer also features a short preview of the new Pokémon species, Zeroaora.  The official international Pokémon Youtube channel also updated with a teaser trailer for Zeroaora.  Pokémon: Everyone’s Story will premiere in Japanese theaters this July.  


Pokémon: Everyone’s Story Film Trailer Streamed

The official Japanese Pokémon Youtube channel has updated with a trailer for the 2018 film. The film will be titled, Pokémon Everyone’s Story,” and is set to premiere in July. The trailer shows a look at several of the characters that will be featured in the film. The new characters include: Lisa with her Eevee Kagachi with his Sudowoodo Torito, a researcher with his Chansey Hisui with his Togepi, Totodile, Smoochum & Marill Rarugo No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.  


Rita Ora Joins Live-Action Detective Pikachu Film Cast

The Hollywood Reporter has recently reported that Rita Ora will be joining the cast for the Live-Action Detective Pikachu film, although currently her role in the film has not been revealed. The current cast list includes: Justice Smith Kathryn Newton Ken Watanabe: Detective Yoshida Ryan Reynolds: Detective Pikachu Bill Nighy Chris Geere Rita Ora No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.    


Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! Home Video Trailer Streamed

Viz Media has updated their official Youtube channel with the home video release trailer for Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! For those who haven’t been following the film was a re-imagining of the original anime series. The film premiered in Japan last July and was later released internationally via Fathom events last November.  The film also premiered on Disney XD later that same month. Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on February 13.   


Bill Nighy & Chris Geere Join Live-Action Detective Pikachu Film Cast

The Hollywood Reporter has recently reported that Bill Nighy and Chris Geere have joined the cast for the Live-Action Detective Pikachu film. The current cast for the film includes: Justice Smith Kathryn Newton Ken Watanabe: Detective Yoshida Ryan Reynolds: Detective Pikachu Bill Nighy Chris Geere Currently their characters have not been confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.    


Ken Watanabe Joins Detective Pikachu Live-Action Film Cast

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Ken Watanabe is joining the cast of the live-action Detective Pikachu film. For those who are unaware, Ken Watanabe, has starred in various films such as The Last Samurai, Ashita no Kioku/Memories of Tomorrow, and as Dr. Serizawa in the recent Godzilla film by Legendary Pictures.  Ken Watanabe will be playing a new character that be featured in the film named Detective Yoshida.  Detective Pikachu will premiere on May 10, 2019.


Detective Pikachu Film Premiere Date Announced

Deadline has reported the premiere details for the upcoming Detective Pikachu film. For those who haven’t been following the film, Detective Pikachu is a live-action adaptation of the Pokémon spin-off game of the same name.  As reported earlier, Detective Pikachu will star Ryan Reynolds as the titular character and he will play alongside Justice Smith and Kathyrn Newton.  Detective Pikachu will premiere on May 10, 2019.    


Pokémon The Movie 2018 Teaser Trailer Streamed

The official Japanese Pokémon Youtube channel has updated with a new teaser trailer for the next Pokémon film. While it doesn’t feature any clear details about the film outside of the film being produced once again by OLM and WIT Studio.  The trailer did however, revealed the premiere date for the film.  Pokémon The Movie 2018 is set to premiere on July 13th 2018.  No other details are confirmed at this time so stay tuned for updates.  


Ryan Reynolds Cast in Live-Action Detective Pikachu Film

Yesterday, The Hollywood Repoter reported that Ryan Reynolds is joining the cast of the live-action Detective Pikachu film.  Ryan Reynolds will be portraying the titular detective himself so expect some crazy adventures along the way. As reported earlier, the other main lead roles will be portrayed by Kathryn Newton and Justice Smith. Kathryn Newton Cast in Live-Action Detective Pikachu Film

Variety has reported that Kathryn Newton is joining the cast of Legendary’s live-action Detective Pikachu film as the head female lead.  Kathryn will be co-star alongside the main lead male character, which will be portrayed by Justice Smith. As reported earlier the film will be directed by Rob Letterman and the script will be written by Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch.  The live-action Detective Pikachu film will be distributed by Universal Pictures outside of Japan while the film will distributed by Toho in Japan. The official Pokémon YouTube channel has updated with a new trailer for Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! The latest trailer features a teaser of the film’s theme song.  The film will feature yet another take on the original theme, which should be nostalgic especially since the film celebrates the 21st anniversary of the franchise. More Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! Screenings Announced

Fathom Events has updated with extra screenings for Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! For those who are unaware Fathom Events has teamed up with the Pokémon Company to bring the film to the big screen.  The film was originally set as a two day event on November 5 at 12:55 P.M. and on November 6 at 7 P.M., however the film has two new additional screenings.  The film will now also be screened at select theaters on November 11 at 12:55 P.M. and on November 14 at 7 P.M.  Those who attend these events, unfortunately, will not receive the TCG Promo Card nor the Pikachu QR code so it is best toRead More
