Variety has reported that Matt Smith is joining the cast of Star Wars: Episode IX. Currently his role is under wraps, but it is great to see his inclusion in the cast. Matt Smith is most famous for his role as the 11th Doctor in Doctor Who and also as a physical embodiment of Skynet in Terminator Genisys. USA Today has posted a new behind the scenes video for Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.  The video features Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi’s director, Rian Johnson, as he talks about his involvement in the project. The video also features some thoughts from Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamill, & Carrie Fisher.  The video also showcases another look at the set of the film, which includes a look inside & outside the Millennium Falcon and more.  Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will premiere in theaters on December 17.

J.J. Abrams To Write And Direct Star Wars: Episode IX

The official Star Wars website has updated with the announcement that J.J. Abrams will return and direct Star Wars: Episode IX.  For those who are unaware the original director for the film, Colin Trevorrow, left directorial duties earlier last week.  J.J. New Writer Announced For Star Wars Episode IX

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that a rewrite is in the works for Star Wars Episode IX. To go along with the rewrite the team has added Jack Thorne to help with the script for the upcoming Star Wars sequel. The official Vanity Fair magazine website has updated with the reveal of four new magazine covers that feature Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. The covers feature several of the new outfits for the returning cast including a first full look at Rose, played by Kelly Marie Tran.  Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will premiere in theaters on December, 15, 2017.    Personally I think that Vanity did a great tribute to Carrie Fisher and I hope she has a great final role in the upcoming film.   


SWCO 2017: Star Wars Forces Of Destiny Toyline Announced
