For those who haven’t been following, the next live-action film based on the Transformers franchise will feature Bumblebee and will be set in the year 1987. The Hollywood Reporter has recently reported that Jorge Lendeborg Jr. has been cast as the lead male role in the upcoming Transformers Bumblebee spin-off film. He will be playing a currently unknown role alongside Hailee Steinfeld. Yahoo Movies has recently announced that Michael Bay has confirmed that scripts for 14 more potential films based on the Transformers franchise are in the works. The news was first revealed during the Transformers: The Last Knight preview event that took place in London’s Cineworld IMAX. According to Michael Bay, the film is stated to be a stepping stone into a larger universe for the franchise.
