SSSS.Gridman Anime Official Visual & New Cast Members Announced

The official twitter page for the SSSS.Gridman anime has updated with new details for the upcoming show. These details were first revealed at the press conference that was recently held in Japan. In addition, Tsuburaya Productions even produced a SSSS.Gridman suit to be present during the conference to stand alongside his tokusatsu predecessor, and series cast.

First, a new visual for the series was revealed, which features a look at the mecha redesigns and our hero, Gridman.

Next, some new cast members for the show were revealed. The new cast members include:

  • Ryousuke Takahashi: Samurai Caribar
  • Katsuyuki Konishi: Max
  • Aoi Yūki: Borar
  • Masaya Matsukaze: Vitt
  • Kenichi Suzumura: Mysterious Boy
  • Mayumi Shintani: Rikka Mama
  • Akari Kitō: Hassu
  • Suzuko Mimori: Namiko

The previously confirmed cast members include:

  • Yūya Hirose: Yūta Hibiki
  • Hikaru Midorikawa: Gridman
  • Sōma Saitō: Shō Utsumi
  • Yume Miyamoto: Rikka Takarada
  • Reina Ueda: Akane Shinjō
  • Tetsu Inada: Alexis Kerib

Next, some of the kaiju designs were revealed. The Kaijus were designed by Shinji Nishikawa, Ichiro Itano, and Hiroshi Maruyama.  The Kaiju include:

  • Goolgirasu
  • Debadadan
  • Anchi

The production staff consists of:

  • Akira Amemiya: Director
  • Keiichi Hasegawa: Script Writer
  • Masayuki Gotou: Gridman Designer
  • Masaru Sakamoto: Character Designer
  • Pony Canyon: Music Producer
  • Shiro Sagisu: Music Composer
  • Toshiki Kameyama: Sound Director

  • Studio Trigger, Tsuburaya Productions: Production

As reported earlier this June, OxT will perform the theme song titled, “UNION,” while Maaya Uchida will perform the ending theme song, “youthful beautiful.” 

 

Funimation will stream the English Dub of the series via their FunimationNow streaming service this Fall. The anime will premiere in Japan on Tokyo MS, MBS, and BS11 this October. The world premiere for the series was hosted at Anime Expo three weeks ago on July 6.
