SDCC 2018: Star Wars: The Clone Wars Return Announced

The official Star Wars Twitter page has updated with the announcement trailer for the return of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The trailer was first unveiled at San Diego Comic Con 2018. For those who aren’t aware, Star Wars: The Clone Wars was a long running animated series based on the Star Wars brand, which aired in 2008-2013 on Cartoon Network. With the cancellation of the series, the sixth and final season was picked up by Netflix and premiered on the service in 2014. The series followed events soon after Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

The seventh season will run for 12 episodes and will stream exclusively on Disney’s upcoming streaming service in 2019.
Personally I am quite excited to see the return of the series especially since there were a lot more stories planned before the series was unfortunately cancelled. Hopefully details about the season will be revealed sometime in the near future and I cannot wait to see what is in store for the return of Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
