Ludwig Göransson To Compose “The Mandalorian”’s Soundtrack

The official Star Wars website has updated with the announcement that Ludwig Göransson is set to compose the score for The Mandaolorian. For those who are not aware, Göransson has worked on various popular soundtracks with some including Black Panther, Creed I, Creed II, Venom, and much more.

Göransson recently had an interview with Starwars.com with his thoughts on his inclusion on the project.

“Words fail to express how surreal and humbling it feels to be invited into the Star Wars universe,” Göransson said. “I am deeply grateful to Jon Favreau and Disney for this opportunity and to John Williams for raising the bar so high with his iconic, intrepid scores — they will never be matched. In these next months I hope to honor the tradition of Star Wars’ musical landscape while propelling The Mandalorian into new and unchartered territory. And I will try to remember that there is no try.”

The Mandalorian will be released exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service, however no other details have been confirmed at this time. The Disney+ streaming service will launch in the U.S. in late 2019.
