Cuphead Heading to the Nintendo Switch
Nintendo recently held a new Nindies Showcase presentation, which revealed some new games that will be released for the Nintendo Switch developed by indie developers. Among the announcements was Cuphead, which was originally release exclusively for PC and the Xbox One. For those who are not aware Cuphead is a run and gun platformer game that features visuals inspired by cartoons in the 1930s. Cuphead will be released for the Nintendo Switch on April 18, 2019. The game is also currently up for preload on the Nintendo Switch eShop priced at $19.99.
Cuphead is a classic run-and-gun action game heavily focused on boss battles. Inspired by cartoons of the 1930s, the visuals and audio are painstakingly created with the same techniques of the era, i.e. traditional hand drawn cel animation, watercolor backgrounds, and original jazz recordings.
