Earlier today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that David Ayer will be working as a director on a brand new DC live-action film titled “, Gotham City Sirens.” Ayer will be be supported by Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Tomb Raider, Sherlock Holmes 3) who willbe working on the project as the screenplay writer. Yesterday, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that Patrick Wilson will be playing Arthur Curry’s brother, Ocean Master/Orm Curry, in the standalone Aquaman film. For those who aren’t familiar with his previous work, Patrick Wilson portrayed Nite Owl in the 2009 live action adaptation of the Watchmen. He will star alongside Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Amber Heard (Mera). The film is set to premiere in theaters on October 5, 2018.
Today Netflix has announced that they will be streaming the Cyborg 009 Call of Justice films worldwide. The films will first debut on the Japanese version of the service next Spring and they are set to release outside of Japan later in the year. The three films will be split into 12 episodes.
Earlier today, Gundam.info has announced that they will be streaming Mobile Suit Gundam 00 on their Youtube channel starting on December 16th to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the series. Today, the official Transformers Facebook uploaded a poster for Transformers: The Last Knight. One can see that the poster features a shadowed out Optimus Prime with his now evil purple eyes and in the background an invading spacecraft to focus on the tagline, “Rethink your heroes”. Since the trailer was released prior to the poster, I personally enjoy how the poster helps to further the belief that Optimus has turned on the world.
