Yesterday, at the FLCL 2 panel at Anime Expo 2016 vice president and producer at Production I.G., Maki Terashima-Furuta announced that the original character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Neon Genesis Evangelion, .hack franchise, Attack on Titan live-action films) is returning for the sequel. Today (JST), the 73rd volume of Tite Kubo’s long-running Bleach manga revealed the series will concluding in the next volume, which will be sold in fall. Following the reveal, Shonen Jump confirmed that the announcement was true. The series began in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001, whereas its final arc began back in February 2012. Over the weekend, FUNmation announced that they will be releasing a 10th-anniversary version Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and Code GeassR2 for the home audience in Bluray format. Today (JST) in the August issue of Jump SQ, it revealed the cast, staff and plot for the new Blue Exorcist anime series, Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Impure King Arc (Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujō Ō-hen), that will air in 2017. Yesterday, at Anime Expo during the panel for developer, Inti Creates they announced that they will be releasing an on-demand OVA series for their video game, Azure Striker Gunvolt (Armed Blue Gunvolt in Japan).
